About

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show
that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
2 Corinthians 4:7 ESV.

Where It All Began

Casa Hogar del Niño de Acapulco was started in 1968. Starting in 1990, Casa Hogar came under the care of the church of Jesús de Nazaret. It is a children’s home that provides care, shelter, strength, love, and hope in a Christian environment for orphaned and abandoned children in Acapulco, Mexico. Casa Hogar is a home where each child can get to know a loving and faithful God who created them and has a divine purpose for their lives.

Casa Hogar’s Mission Statement:

To receive and equip young children spiritually, physically, and academically to enter society, all for the glory of God.

Our Story

Jars of Clay Beginning

Jars of Clay Ministries exists to connect people with the children and staff of Casa Hogar. As these children are seeing people come from thousands of miles away to visit them, encourage them in their walk with Jesus, and share the good news of Jesus Christ, they are in turn gaining a desire to go out into Mexico and the world to change it for the glory of God. God has also given us a unique call to love the fatherless.

Joining alongside Casa Hogar allows for the unique opportunity to play a big role in the children’s lives by reminding them that Jesus promises not to leave us as orphans and that in Him we have a family that is bigger and better than anything on this earth. For many of these children, Casa Hogar is the first place they ever hear the name Jesus Christ. You are able to be a part of furthering God’s kingdom on this earth. As well as breaking the cycle of poverty that these children are coming from and giving them hope for a new and better future.
